My name is Ciara Liddicoat I am a friendly, hardworking, and dedicated individual who is always ready to learn. I am at my happiest when I am able to be creative. I have a passion for problem solving and helping people. I am proud to say I have a well-rounded and ever-growing set of skills. I give every challenge my best effort and take pride in every job well done.

The creation of this portfolio has been a challenging but very rewarding task. The most challenging part of creating this portfolio was finding my personal brand by defining who I am then finding a way to communicate that through my designs.

This project sent me on an in-depth journey of self-discovery. Before beginning I had no idea what I wanted to communicate to others. Graphic Design wasn’t my original career path. All throughout high school I knew I loved art but I didn’t have the confidence in myself or my art to pursue it as a career. I pushed myself to try a less creative career and quickly realized I needed something more stimulating to my creative side. Through my schooling and volunteer experience I have gained the confidence to display my work for others. I was able to identify my passions, who I am and who I want to be.

The theme of my portfolio is inspired by my bubbly personality and my well-rounded. My logo features my initials in an elegant font positioned to create the shape of a mouse. I designed it this way because the mouse is a symbol of hardworking and resourcefulness. The colours I’ve chosen also have deeper meaning. As my main colour I chose yellow to represent my positive attitude, my loyalty, and my enthusiasm. I chose the blue to communicate my calm nature, my pride in my work and my trustworthiness. I chose to also use pink to represent beauty that can be found in my designs, my approachability, and my love for what I do.
